Pegasus Airlines to launch a new route to Kazakhstan

December 8, 2011 —

Pegasus Airlines (flypgs.com) (Istanbul) will launch the twice-weekly Istanbul (Gokcen)-Almaty (Kazakhstan) route on January 23, 2012 according to Airline Route.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (IATA: SAW, ICAO: LTFJ) is one of the international airports serving İstanbul, Turkey. The facility is named after Sabiha Gökçen, the first female combat pilot in the world. Located 22 miles southeast of central İstanbul, it is on the Asian side of the bi-continental city. SAW was built because Atatürk International Airport (IST) (on the European side) was not large enough to meet the booming passenger demands (both domestic and international).
