United’s pilots lose in court, the merger will continue

United Airlines’ (Chicago) lost their bid to delay the integration of flight operations with Continental Airlines, an essential step towards a single operating AOC.

U.S. District Judge Sterling Johnson denied the request by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), representing United’s pilots. The judge said ALPA failed to prove that the implementation of the revised flight operation procedures would be a safety hazard according to this report by Reuters.
