Will “Scoot” be the name of Singapore’s new low-fare subsidiary?

Singapore Airlines’ (Singapore) New Aviation subsidiary has registered the name “Scoot” with the Intellectual Property Office in Singapore according to this report by the Straits Times. The new subsidiary will launch no-frills, low-fare operations with Boeing 777-200s in 2012.
