JetBlue Airways to fly to Provo from JFK and Boston

JetBlue Airways (New York-JFK) today announced its plans to serve Providenciales (PLS), in the Turks and Caicos Islands, subject to receipt of government operating authority. Effective Presidents Day weekend 2011, the carrier intends to launch daily service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) commencing February 17 and seasonal (November – April) Saturday only service beginning February 19 from Boston Logan International (BOS).

Providenciales will be JetBlue’s 64th destination and its 17th destination in the Caribbean. With the addition of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the carrier will serve 40 nonstop destinations from Boston.

JetBlue intends to operate its Providenciales service with 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
