Hawaiian Airlines has a profitable 4Q and 2009

Hawaiian Airlines (Hawaiian Holdings) (Honolulu) reported consolidated net income for the three months (fourth quarter) ending on December 31, 2009 of $35.0 million.  This result compares with a net loss of $11.9 million for the three months ended on December 31, 2008.

For the full year 2009, the Company today reported consolidated net income of $116.7 million.  This result compares with net income of $28.6 million for the full year 2008.

Hawaiian set  a record with 8.3 million passengers for 2009.
